Some more goodies here, some are kinda small.

Love the PA with the Karlson cabs in it.

The stack of EV MTL4/MTH4 is most impressive too, i pitty the crew that moved those.

I hope the crew had coverage for hernia's. The Turbo sound system is most impressive.

Now back to Altec Lansing PA system. Here is a set up for a 15 Kto 20 k crowd. Consisting of 16
817 cabinets loaded with 421's and 20 Bi Radial Horns loaded with 291's . The 817 cab's were manufactured by Stanley Screamers. The whole thing was powered by BGW 's .

Located primarely at a Oklahoma Amphitheater for 5 years then moved to another location.

High wattage, overhung voice coils may have their
charisma, but they will not bring that realistic sound altec had with lightweight underhung voicecoils. Altecs were fabricated with precision and love, with the goal to sound as realistic as possible. The realism of playback behaviour of a loudspeaker cant be measured (yet?), it must be heard. Line array systems may sound very impressive, but not as realistic as altecs do.

My wife and I just went to Roger Waters in Nov. in Philly couple of shows. The sound IMO was phenomenal. Our local radio station 93.3 WMMR that was reporting on the shows said it was a superb Quadraphonic sound system I snapped a picture of the arrays.A gentleman had commented on my pics. and said they are Clair Bros.

The arrays are getting smaller and smaller but are putting out just as much if not more sound, the shows that we seen at the Wells Fargo Center were superb. The sound was quite loud and clear !!

A couple more pictures.Lighting wasn't optimal for taking pictures as they didn't allow Flashes because it would interfere with the projections on to the wall that doubled as a big movie screen. But they did allow you to take photos, but no video.

    Re: ROCK CONCERTS

Guess what they were using for PA system for the jubilee concert?

The cart line array like those with ATK Audio Tek.These were placed around the stands. THe drive way used poles with line arrays and giant screens.

    Speakers L Acoustic Kudo

    Re: ROCK CONCERTS

They use line arrays for 90% of concerts, saying guess what is kinda like pointing out somebody had eggs for breakfast...
